At 8 am the carpool leaves from Page Mill Rd/280 Park & Ride.
From there we drive to St. Paul's/San Pablo Episcopal, 1071 Pajaro St., Salinas, with its Aeolian Skinner and stunning stained-glass windows. The priest, The Rev. Ale Trillos (aaa-lay) will greet us at 9:30am. She is looking for an organist, so please help her if you can.
At 10:30am we drive to St. George's Episcopal, 98 Kip Dr., Salinas, with its newly installed salvaged Wicks organ. Tom Delay who transported this organ from Fresno and installed this organ at his own expense will be there. He is also the organist there and the church where my parents attend.
Next, we take a slightly treacherous drive to St. Dunstan's, 28005 Robinson Canyon Rd., in Carmel, with its newish Dobson organ. Even though the address says Carmel, it's virtually in Carmel Valley. Lunch will be waiting for us there at noon. If you RSVP to me, then I will give you the lunch plan once we have it all set. Thank you, Melanie, for hosting us and for helping so much with planning.
Our final destination, arriving around 3:30pm, is First Presbyterian, Monterey with its Murray Harris-Schoenstein. This is a vibrant congregation whose music director, Bill McMillan, also directs my father's secular choir, Camerata Singers.
